The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking applications for entry-level positions available across its Fleet Support community in: 1) power plant electrical systems engineering, and 2) electrical, computer, and software engineering.

Students enrolled in the College of Computing (CC) and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) are invited to a Career Fair mixer on Sep. 20, 4-5:30 p.m., in the Rozsa Center. The College of Computing and the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems (ICC) will host a research poster session on Oct. 10, 1-3 pm, in MUB Ballroom A. All students are invited to submit research posters. Prizes will be awarded. Submit posters by Sep. 30,12 am. More info.

College of Computing Enrollment Increases 13.6%
The College of Computing is pleased to share that enrollment in computing programs has grown 13.6% over last year, marking the second consecutive year of greater than 10% growth, and 95% growth in computing programs since 2014. Total fall 2022 computing enrollment is 993.
“This isn’t a fluke. It continues a decade-long trend of computing enrollment growth at Michigan Tech, which is due to the hard work of everyone in the College of Computing, along with our colleagues in enrollment management, marketing, and the registrar’s office,” said Dennis Livesay, Dave House Dean of Computing. - The Pack is Back and Smarter Than Ever. More than 7,000 students have arrived on Michigan Tech’s campus to start the fall semester, including the second-largest class of incoming first-year Huskies since 1984.
- Dennis Livesay Elected to CRA Deans Group Leadership Team. Dennis Livesay, Dave House Dean of Computing, has been elected to the three-person CRA Deans Group leadership team. More than 40 major institutions from several countries participate in the group.
- Call for Papers: ELSEVIER Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing. Ali Ebnenasir, Computer Science, is a guest editor for the special issue.
Computing Learning Center
Don't wait until the final crunch. The College of Computing Learning Center (CCLC), on the first floor of Rekhi Hall, Room 118, is staffed by upper-level undergraduate students and supported by the College of Computing. The friendly CCLC coaches are available to help succeed in your computing courses. No appointments are necessary. Free. Open to all students taking computing classes. This fall, the Learning Center is open Sunday-Friday according to the schedule below.
