Chapter Spotlight: Keweenaw Alumni Chapter

Mont Ripley Color Tour

The Keweenaw Alumni Chapter is Michigan Tech’s local chapter.  It can be challenging to get alumni excited and engaged in activities when they see and hear about Tech on a daily basis. However, being in the backyard of Michigan Tech also presents some unique opportunities and this fall they are taking full advantage.

The Keweenaw Alumni Chapter is collaborating with organizations on campus to set up an action packed October!

On Thursday, October 2nd the Keweenaw Alumni Chapter joins up with the Michigan Tech Blue Line Club and Michigan Tech Athletics to host a Meet the Coaches night in the Begg Center.  Alumni and friends can come meet the Hockey Coaches, tour the facility and hear about the incoming players.

On Friday, October 3rd the Keweenaw Alumni Chapter and the Graduate Student Government are sponsoring a Color Tour on Mount Ripley with snacks and a social. This is a great opportunity for graduate students, alumni and friends to socialize and enjoy the beautiful colors of the Keweenaw.

Also on Friday, October 3rd KAC will be participating in the Michigan Tech First Friday Social which will be held at the Keweenaw Research Center.  Guests will be able to check out the Advanced Power Systems Laboratories which is a multidisciplinary collaborative that fosters research efforts in the development of clean, efficient, sustainable power-systems technologies.
