A scholarship opportunity for Michigan students

Michigan Tech's Presidential Scholars Program rewards academically talented first-year undergraduate students who are Michigan residents. No separate application is necessary.

Presidential Scholars Program

Incoming first-year students are considered for awards ranging from $1,000 up to $5,500 per year based on a combination of your cumulative high school GPA and/or SAT or ACT score. These awards are renewable for four years (eight semesters) of study.

3.75 to 3.899 $2,000 per year
3.50 to 3.749 $1,000 per year

Students with academic credentials not shown above may qualify for scholarships and/or other financial aid. We encourage you to use our planning tools and calculators for the best estimate.

Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher (based on full-time enrollment in Michigan Tech courses only) at the end of each spring semester to retain the award for the following academic year. Students must live in the University's residence halls for their first and second academic years to maintain this scholarship.
