The University welcomes its first international student, from Toyotsu Buzen, Japan.

 

1924 |

The inaugural edition of the Keweenawan yearbook explains that many Chinese students came from Tsing Hua College in Peking to study engineering in the US.

1989 |

The Parade of Nations and Multicultural Fest debuts, promoting worldwide culture and international awareness. It's still going strong.

 

2010 |

Khana Khazana, "Food Treasure," begins serving affordable, authentic cuisine. Brainchild of Indian students Sahil Thakkar and Komal Tayal, the taste extravaganza continues every Friday.

 

2015 |

"Life at Michigan Tech" hosts a two-part acculturation training series, Copper Country tours, a Global Social, International Games Night and several other events and activities for international students.
