Debra Campbell, PE

Debra Campbell graduated from Michigan Tech in 1976 with a baccalaureate degree in civil engineering, while receiving her master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado in 1994.
Campbell utilized her civil engineering skills and knowledge in various capacities.
She worked for several Michigan civil consulting firms from 1976–80; from 1982–87,
she worked for the Metro Denver Wastewater Reclamation District; from 1987–88 she
served as the manager of engineering for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory
in Golden, Colorado, and planning director, Grand County, Colorado, 2003–06.
She was hired by the National Park Service in 1988, working in the capacity as a project
manager at the Denver Service Center 1998–2003, and program manager for the Pacific
Region 2006–18. She retired from the National Park Service in 2018.
Her professional and community involvements are many. Campbell is a registered professional
engineer in both Colorado and Nevada; she served as a professional ski instructor
for the National Sports Center for the Disabled for 25 years and is currently a member
of the City of Reno, Historical Resources Commission.
Campbell was inducted into the Michigan Tech Presidential Council of Alumnae in 2004.
While attending Michigan Tech, she participated in the Girls' Chorus, and intramural
basketball and hockey. She was a member of Chi Epsilon and the American Society of
Civil Engineers.
Debra makes her home in Reno, Nevada, where she lives with her husband, Chuck.
