Beth Mitteer
- BS Engineering Mechanics 2004
Beth graduated from Michigan Tech with a BSME in the fall of 2004. After college,
she worked for six years in a few different mechanical engineering and manufacturing
positions before moving into day trading for several years. Last year, Beth opted
for another career change and became a travel consultant. She created her own business,
Agate Vacations, LLC, to help others plan their dream vacations. Beth enjoys the creative
process associated with planning a trip and is loving what she does so far!
Some fun memories Beth has from MTU include spending the summers in Houghton and
cruising around the Keweenaw Peninsula with friends. As part of the Greek community,
she enjoyed participating in Greek Week and attending co-ed rushes with snow football
being her favorite! The best part though for her has been the long-lasting friendships
made during her time at Michigan Tech, as well as the memories she has made with newer
members of Phi Delta Chi. While a lot has changed over the years, she knows she always
has a group of sisters she can come back to again and again.
When asked what was the greatest lesson she learned at Tech Beth noted, "The greatest
takeaway from my education is having the ability to problem-solve. You don’t need
to have all of the answers, but you should have a process you can use for finding
the answers."
