“In the abstract, I think a prominent Tech alumnus put it best: "You don't go through Michigan Tech. Michigan Tech goes through you." From a practical standpoint, I learned how to pick myself up and get the job done when confronted by a momentary failure. I also learned how to learn. Those two things will give you the ability to succeed at everything.”
“If you want to make the world a better place, to have to get off the sidelines and get involved. Sharing knowledge and experience with students is vital to continuous improvement in learning. With luck and perseverance, you gain the ability to give back financially as well. The quality of any organization or community is measured by the yardstick of its members. It's up to you to build the future.”
When asked what advice he would give to students, Sean said: “Learn how to learn. The capacity to learn gives you limitless opportunity. Tenacity is your greatest ally in life. You never fail at anything until you decide to quit. NEVER simply follow your dreams. Follow opportunity and bring your dreams with you.”
