John Westman

John Westman graduated from Michigan Tech with an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering Technology in 1999 and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology (Mechanical) in 2001.

John states, "It is hard to put into words just how beneficial my education from Michigan Tech has been throughout my career. I have been extremely fortunate to have been provided with the opportunity to go into a multitude of industries and positions over the years and can attribute this to the time I spent at MTU. I can point to my Tech education as a major driving factor in establishing a successful, rewarding, and fulfilling career."

John also received an MSA from Central Michigan University in 2008 and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), along with obtaining several patents during his career.

John is currently employed with Pettibone/Traverse Lift, LLC of Baraga, Michigan as an engineering manager and resides in Baraga with his wife and two children.
