Joseph Williams

Joseph Williams earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Michigan Tech in 2022, and a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2024. Joseph is a manager of manufacturing robotics and automation research at General Motors in Warren, Michigan.

Joseph’s academic journey, encompassing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering Technology, a Master’s in Business Administration, and an ongoing PhD in Manufacturing Engineering, has significantly propelled his career.

Joseph states that the technical foundation from his bachelor’s degree enabled him to excel in automation and manufacturing processes, while the Master’s degree honed his strategic decision-making and management skills. This combination has been instrumental in his roles at past tiered suppliers and General Motors, where he led global automation initiatives and advanced manufacturing technologies. Currently, his PhD research on collaborative robotic applications further positions him at the forefront of innovation in automotive industry, driving both personal and organizational growth.
