Department of Applied Computing Industrial Advisory Board members provide valuable information, steady guidance, and decades of experience to the College.
The diverse input of Advisory Board members ensures that Applied Computing courses and degree programs are teaching the most current industry best practices, as well as helping the department anticipate and respond to emerging trends in the industries where our graduates work.
The Applied Computing Industrial Advisory Board is structured as two subcommittees, one for the programs in Cybersecurity, Health Informatics, and Information Technology (formerly Computer Network and System Administration) (IT/HI), the other for the Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering Technology (MERET) programs.
When discussing strategic issues affecting the Applied Computing department as a whole, the IAB subcommittees meets together, and when advising on curricular matters in the various programs, the subcommittees meet separately.
Two AC Advisory Board members also serve as liaisons to the External Advisory Board of the College of Computing.
