David P. Post

Mr. David P. Post, a 1956 civil engineering graduate of Michigan Tech, is Senior Vice President with the Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Upon graduation, he joined Bethlehem Steel as a member of the Loop management training program and a short time later was named a salesman in the Chicago district. As he progressed through the organization, he held the positions of assistant manager of sales, manager of sales, and regional manager of sales.
In 1983, he was promoted to senior manager at the Burns Harbor, Indiana plant. Two years later, he was named general manager, commercial, for the Bar, Rod, and Wire Division, headquartered in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. In 1988, he was appointed president if the Bethlehem Structural Products Division in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was appointed Vice President of Sales in 1992 and was promoted to his present position later that year.
He is currently a member of the American Iron and Steel Institute and the Board of Directors of the Lehigh Valley Industrial Park. A long-time supporter of Michigan Tech, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Michigan Tech Fund, is on the Executive Council of the "Partnering with the Future" Campaign for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and is a member of the President's Club. He received the MTU Board of Trustees Silver Medal Award in 1993. He has an outstanding record of community service, being a member and serving on the boards of numerous civic organizations.
