Delmar R. Rediger, PE

Mr. Delmar Rediger, a 1958 civil engineering graduate of Michigan Tech, has recently retired as President of Inland Steel Bar Company and currently resides in Ninevah, Indiana. Delmar joined Inland Steel as an engineering trainee upon graduation from Michigan Tech. He advanced through a progression of assignments in the Engineering Department until being named Chief Engineer of Inland's Indiana Harbor Works in 1980. In 1984, he was named Vice President - Technology, and in 1985, Vice President - Manufacturing. He became President of the Bar division in 1988.
Mr. Rediger earned an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1972. He is also past President of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers, a member of ASCE, and the Iron and Steel Society of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers. He is a former director of the Western States Blast Furnace and Coke Plant Association and former president of the Indiana Society of Professional Engineers. He is a member of Michigan Tech's College of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board. Mr. Rediger is currently involved in many civic and philanthropic organizations and has guest lectured at Indiana University's Graduate School of Business.
