Robert C. Wylie, PE, RLS

Mr. Robert C. Wylie, a 1947 civil engineering graduate of Michigan Tech, is Retired President of the Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company in Wausau, Wisconsin, serving in many capacities for the Company for over 40 years. The Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company is a private organization that operates a system of 21 storage reservoirs on the Wisconsin River for the purpose of stream control, regulation and augmentation, hydroelectric generation, and flood control. He also served three years with the combat engineers of the 95th Infantry Division.
Mr. Wylie has an outstanding record of professional and community service. Professional service included being a member of the Governor's Water Resource Commission, the Upper Mississippi River Basin Advisory Committee, and National and Wisconsin Societies of Professional Engineers. Civic service included Board of Directors and Secretary of Wausau Hospital, Inc., president of the Wausau Area Chamber of Commerce, and natural resource committee member of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States. In retirement, Robert is still active in community affairs including being secretary of the Lake Wausau Management Committee. He is a member of the Wisconsin Valley Musicians Symphonic Band and Jazz Band, the Wausau Concert Band, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Wausau Area Community Options Assessment Steering Committee.
