Biography
Dr. Dewey's teaching interests include civil engineering materials, statics, structural analysis, steel design, and senior design. His many years of experience advising the Transportation Enterprise has given him a strong appreciation of value of team-based experiential learning. His current interests in curriculum development include partial "flipping" of the classroom to move some lectures to a digital format to make time for classroom team learning activities. His other research activities include understanding how properties of carbonate aggregates affect aggregate polishing and pavement friction.
