Brad Rick

Brad graduated from Michigan Tech with his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984, followed by his Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1986. He spent his 35 year career with Amway Corporation in Ada, MI, beginning as a Process Engineering developing and scaling processes for personal care and cosmetic products. Brad transitioned to Product Development leading engineering and design efforts for a small appliance division where he received four U.S. patents and multiple foreign patents for the design of an air treatment system.

Brad served the remainder of his career in a series of executive roles including global quality, information technology, engineering, and manufacturing. He played key roles implementing global quality reporting, Lean Six Sigma, ERP systems, and starting up manufacturing plants for soft gels, probiotics, and energy drinks. Brad was an active member of AIChE and ASQ and he served as the chair of the Michigan Tech Chemical Engineering EAB.

Brad retired in 2021 and resides on Kimball Lake in Newaygo, MI with his wife, Julie, where he enjoys outdoor sports and playing guitar in several bands.
