Austin Trudeau
Major: Cybersecurity
Class: 1st Year
I am a first year BS in Cybersecurity student with a concentration in system and network security. I really enjoy being involved with Michigan Tech, especially in sporting events. I attend all our hockey and football games, as well as volleyball, basketball, soccer, etc. I enjoy lots of different types of physical activity, such as weightlifting, hockey, and soccer. I also like being outdoors a lot, which this college is great for. I also enjoy fishing and hunting and all the aspects of the outdoors.
Elise Buzzell

Hello! My name is Elise Buzzell and I am originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. This
is my
second year as a computer science major with an interest in user experience, as well
as
my second year as an Ambassador[MTU]! I spend my free time reading, dancing, and
discovering the UP with my friends. I am a part of the Rowing Club, a coach at the
Writing Center, and a member of the HIDE Enterprise and the Women in Computer
Science student org. Although I am still deciding where I want to go for a career,
I am
highly interested in front-end development. This past summer while working for the
Minnesota Twins, I created an apparel application from start to finish, which has
grown
my passion for technology. I am excited to grow my knowledge in computer science
through my next years at MTU, as well as through my future internships.
Isabella Gatti

I am a graduating BS in Cybersecurity major who loves the creative side of the job.
I
thrive when it comes to completing challenges that require out-of-the-box thought,
and I love to plan a really intricate event. I work in a research lab focused on the
human side of computing, and as a cybersecurity junior engineer in a company that
deals with nuclear waste disposal. On campus, I am president of the RedTeam, the competitive
cybersecurity club, as well as assistant operations coordinator for SLS, the sound
and lighting service here. Feel free to talk to me about anything cyber-related or
any books you're reading; fantasy, sci-fi, and romance are my core genres.
Emmanuel Izuchukwu Nkwocha

Major: MS in Mechatronics
Class: Graduate Student
My name is Emmanuel Izuchukwu Nkwocha, I hail from the vibrant Igbo tribe in Nigeria.
I have a bachelor's degree in electrical electronics engineering. I am a graduate
student in the Mechatronics department. My area of interest is industrial automation
and robotics programming.
I have six years of hands-on experience as an industrial automation engineer, I have
honed my skills in two demanding industrial sectors: oil and gas and manufacturing.
I have been involved in several automation-based projects as a supervisor and an application
engineer.
Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy playing video games and I treasure
quality time spent in lively conversations with friends and family.
For the past five years, I have been an ardent fan of Michigan Tech. My decision to
attend Michigan Tech for my graduate studies was a conscious choice. Michigan Tech,
with its status as an authorized training center for FANUC robots, beckoned me to
be part of its dynamic community. I love community service.

Greetings! My name is Haranadh Reddy Ravi and I am honored to serve as an Ambassador for the College of Computing at Michigan Technological University. Originally from the vibrant city of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, India, my academic background is varied and diverse. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and at Michigan Tech I am pursuing a Master’s in Data Science, a field that combines my passion for engineering precision with data-driven insights in the world of technology.
My ultimate goal is to become a predictive analyst, leveraging my expertise in both domains for maximum impact. In my free time, I enjoy immersing myself in anime, staying up-to-date with the latest tech trends, and playing volleyball. Although I relish solo travel, I am eager to learn from this experience and connect with others. As a College of Computing Ambassador, I am eager to share my experiences, connect with students, and showcase the dynamic opportunities available within our College. I am from India, where I completed my entire educational journey, including my undergraduate degree in computer science. My passion for computers has always been a driving force in my life. Joining the Computer Science department at Michigan Tech has been an incredibly enriching experience. I am thrilled about the skills I will acquire through this program. During my time here, I have received tremendous support from my professors. Their teaching methods and the chance to engage in hands-on, real-world research have allowed me to explore captivating aspects of Artificial Intelligence. In my leisure hours, I enjoy playing video games, watching Korean dramas, and indulging in my love for volleyball. I also have a keen interest in hiking and biking.
The College of Computing at Michigan Tech presents a multitude of opportunities and, thanks to the exceptional faculty in the department, I am eagerly anticipating the journey ahead.
Tyson Watson

I’m Tyson, a second-year data science major. I’m from Galesburg, Michigan, which is south of Kalamazoo. I’ve been coding since 8th grade and haven’t stopped since. I even have a C++ certification! I dual enrolled in high school and graduated from high school with an associate degree in liberal arts. I spend most of my free time playing guitar, hanging with friends, biking, snowboarding, or just exploring the outdoors. I’m also a lab assistant for the intro to programming classes. This will be my first year as an ambassador, so don’t be afraid to say hi!
Richie Shadibaeva

Hi! I’m Richie, a second-year data science major. I’m from Uzbekistan, which is located in faraway Central Asia. My hometown is Tashkent, which is close to the Tian Shan mountain range. I’ve been coding since I was eleven, and although I’ve had some breaks, I’ve never lost my passion for learning more about this field! I love staying multifaceted, so my hobbies include arts and crafts, playing bass guitar, exploring fashion and cultures, entrepreneurship, and more. Lydia Festian

My name is Lydia Festian and I am a fourth-year Mechatronics major with a focas on industrial controls and robotics engineering. I learned about MTU's Mechatronics program in high school through the FIRST robotics competition. My love of robotics and engineering drove me to pursue my bachelor's degree at Tech. In extracurriculars, I'm a project lead for the SENSE Enterprise and I'm on the Mechatronics/EET student advisory board. I am also a Red Bull student representative. Professionally, I've had three internships involved with industrial and robotics engineering, where I had opportunities to work on systems from conception to customer handoff while designing, testing, and programming various vision systems, PLCs, and robot arms. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the UP with my friends and playing video games.

I may not be the most outdoorsy person, but with all the snow in Houghton, I'm also hoping to try a snow sport like snowboarding or skiing.
