Student News: MTU RedTeam Takes The Lead
The MTU RedTeam has set more records in Fall 2021 National Cyber League (NCL) competitions! In the individual games, three RedTeam players ranked in the top 100, out of 6,475 players. They are Josh Stiebel, who ranks 15th, besting a RedTeam record set a Fall 2017, and Ryan Klemm (18th) and Stu Kernstock (65th).
In team competition, RedTeam@MTU, was ranked 10th out of 3,916 teams from hundreds of universities across the U.S. The team members were Stu Kernstock, Matthew Chau, Sankalp Shastry, Ryan Klemm, Josh Stiebel, Thad Sander, and Tayler Wilczynski. Twenty-nine Michigan Tech students competed in the fall 2021 NCL Cyber Competitions. Professors Yu Cai (AC) and Bo Chen (CS) are co-advisors of the MTU RedTeam. Read the blog post here.

Student Employment
Michigan Tech Information Technology is hiring a Student Linux Support Technician. Our IT Operations department is looking for somebody who is able to work and grow their skills in a Linux environment. Must be able to work throughout the Spring, and Summer (required) semesters. Rail Transportation Program Scholarships
The Michigan Tech Rail Transportation Program is accepting applications for their Alumni and Friends scholarship program, which
is funded by the CN Endowment and donations from Rail Program alumni and friends. Link to the application here. The application deadline is Dec 10, 2021.
Separately, the AREMA scholarship, which has a deadline of Dec. 3, 2021, has typically

Introduction to Quantum Computing
