Undergraduate Research Assistant, Future Interactions Group

Research Assistant Professor Dylan Gaines, Computer Science, is recruiting an undergraduate research assistant for the Future Interactions Group beginning in the fall of 2024. Competitive applicants will have significant experience with Python. Preference will be given to applicants with an interest in human-computer interaction, natural language processing, and/or brain-computer interfaces.

This is a part-time hourly position (10 hr/wk) from September 2024 to March 2025.

Research Assistant, Human-Robot Interaction Lab

Assistant Professor Michael Walker, Computer Science, is recruiting graduate and undergraduate research assistants for the Human-Robot Interaction Lab, which will open in fall 2024.

  • Applicants are expected to have strong foundational knowledge in computer science.
  • Prior experience in robotics is preferred, although not necessary if the student has a strong passion for applying concepts from human-centered computing to robot platforms and systems.
  • Robotics is a multi-disciplinary field so students with skill sets from backgrounds including (but not limited to) engineering, networks, systems, human-computer interaction, graphics, design, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, etc. are encouraged to apply.

SnP Lab Research Assistant

The MTU Security and Privacy (SnP) Lab is recruiting one hourly-paid research assistant for Summer 2024. The position is supported by GLRC/ICC Rapid Seedling Research Funding. Requirements:
