What is your fondest memory of your time in the CS department?
Spending time working on programs in the lab with my study groups and study group meetings at Perkins.
How has your education impacted your career?
My Tech education directly led me to an IT career at Dow. I was nominated by MTU CS professor Dr. John Lowther for the Dow Outstanding Junior Award. I was selected by Dow for the award and was awarded a small scholarship and a co-op opportunity. The rest is history!
Julie is the I/S Captain of Dow’s MTU recruiting team. She participates in the CS1000 Alumni Assignment project where alumni correspond with first-year computer science students and answer questions they have about the school, the program, the industry, or just life in general at Michigan Tech.
Julie is an MTU parent.
