Attend Michigan Tech’s Prep4Tech Program

The Prep4Tech Program is designed to refresh math skills leading up to college-level math and help you develop other skills to succeed at MTU. Share best practices for time management and learning management. Have fun through design thinking activities and getting to know Michigan Tech.

In this program you will:

  • Strengthen math skills with instructors who are passionate about your success.
  • Build community with your fellow students to further support your math and engineering skills.
  • Learn design thinking philosophies and explore engineering through engaging, hands-on activities.
  • Develop learning and time management strategies to navigate your engineering curriculum.
  • Explore Michigan Tech and see what Houghton and the Keweenaw have to offer.

Check your eligibility for the Prep4Tech program.

The program is designed for students placed into Precalculus, MA 1032, or Calculus Plus with Technology, MA 1161. Eligible participants will receive an invitation beginning in early May. Keep an eye on your mailbox.

For students with AP or college calculus credit, prior student performance indicates you already possess the math skills to succeed at Michigan Tech. For other college success skills opportunities, please check out the programming offered by the Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success delivered during the academic year.
