Michigan Technological University ("Michigan Tech") provides the Safety First Alert Communication System for use by all current students, faculty, and staff subject to the following Conditions of Use ("COU"). When subscribing to this specific service, you and Michigan Tech will be subject to any guidelines or rules applicable to this service. Michigan Tech may amend these guidelines and will communicate to you or post a notification on the Safety First Alert homepage. The amended guidelines or rules shall become part of the COU.
Description of the Safety First Alert Communication System
Michigan Tech's Safety First Alert Communication System provides a communication service for the delivery of time-sensitive messages to multiple recipients through multiple communications devices, and for processing the recipients' responses to those messages, branded as the Safety First Alert Communication System (collectively, the "services"). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current services will be subject to the COU.
What You Must Do To Use this Service
In order to use this service, you must obtain access to the Web, have authorized use of Employee Self Serve/Banweb and be a current recognized faculty, staff, or student of Michigan Tech.
Your Subscription Information Must Be Accurate, Current and Complete
In consideration for your use of the Services, you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself, and (b) maintain and promptly update your information to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or is incomplete, you understand that any notifications sent via the Safety First Alert Communication System may not reach you.
Conduct when Using the Safety First Alert Communication System
- As a subscriber, you agree that you will not knowingly restrict or inhibit any other user from using the service.
- As a subscriber, you agree that you will not impersonate any other person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any other person or entity.
