General Information
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED: on-site registration will be available for $20 per person. The meal will not be available. On-site registration accepts CASH or CHECK. No credit card.
Hosted on the Michigan Tech campus, the Keweenaw Medical Control Authority Emergency Medical Services Conference is a two-day event providing 14 hours of accredited ongoing education credits for providers at the MFR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic licensure levels.
In an effort to support providers in meeting the Michigan EMS continuing education requirements, the conference committee has created a rotating continuing education credit structure. If a MFR or EMT provider attends at least two complete conferences in their three year Michigan license renewal period, they should have enough credits in the correct categories for renewal. AEMTs and Paramedics will meet most of their requirements by attending all three years, but should review their individual continuing education plan.
The Keweenaw Medical Control Authority, Michigan Tech, and conference committee want to remind individual providers that they are responsible for their EMS licensure, tracking continuing education credits, and fulfilling the Michigan EMS continuing education requirements.
