Biography
David M. Labyak, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology department at Michigan Tech, teaching in the areas of Machine Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Mechatronics. Prior to teaching at Michigan Tech, he spent 24+ years in the automotive, mining, aerospace, and engineering consulting industries. His background includes sheet metal fabrication, product assembly, finite element analysis, noise and vibration analysis, and machinability of metals.
