Biography
Dr. Elena Giusarma is a cosmologist working on the interplay between theory and data analysis. Her work is focused on analyzing cosmological datasets and performing statistical inference to learn about the origin, evolution, and composition of our Universe. She is particularly interested in studying the effect of massive neutrinos on cosmological observables, such as the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) and the large-scale structure of the universe and understanding the properties of those poorly understood particles. Giusarma’s current research interest includes understanding and developing novel techniques in machine learning to tackle fundamental challenges in cosmology.
