New Faculty Orientation
Orientation takes place over the first four days that new faculty are on contract, August 11-14, 2025. Orientation is required for all new faculty.

- Wednesday: Teaching Workshop
- Thursday: Research Overview
You can view the 2024 agenda to get a sense of the topics that will be covered. Additional details, including the 2025 agenda, will be sent to new faculty by mid-summer.
Extended New Faculty Orientation
The extended orientation is held weekly during the fall semester, from 3-4 p.m. on Wednesdays. The orientation meetings are required, so new faculty should not schedule any meetings at this time. You can view a sample schedulefor reference.
New Faculty Mentoring
All new full time permanent tenure track and instructional track faculty are assigned a mentoring committee that meets six times throughout the faculty member’s first year. For more information:
