9.3.6 Smoke-Free Policy

Smoking and all tobacco use is prohibited except where approval is granted by the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for Administration (see Board of Trustees Policy 12.2). Michigan Tech has also adopted a "Tobacco Free, Smoke Free and Vapor Free" policy. Residence halls select a policy through their own governance process. All employees, students, and visitors share in the responsibility for adhering to and enforcing this policy." Replaced it with: "Smoking and all tobacco use is prohibited except where approval is granted by the Vice President for Administration (see Board of Control Policy 12.2). Michigan Tech has also adopted a "Tobacco Free, Smoke Free and Vapor Free" policy.
