Federal Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship

The Federal Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant (EFC 0 - 6,656) and whose parent or guardian died in the line of duty while performing as a public safety officer. The student must have been less than 24 years old or enrolled at an institution of higher education at the time of their parent or guardian's death.

Grant Value

Eligible students will receive the maximum Federal Pell Grant of $7,395, and an EFC of zero will be used to package all Federal Student Aid, without regard to the student’s FAFSA EFC.

How to Apply

Students must complete the FAFSA each year to be considered for the Federal Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship.
