The Michigan Alumni Legacy Award was established to honor alumni, and in support of
the worldwide network of proud Michigan Tech graduates. Legacy Awards provide a unique
opportunity for alumni, their children and grandchildren to significantly benefit
from their life-long relationships with the Michigan Tech family.
Eligible students first enrolling at Michigan Tech will receive awards for $1,000
per year for a maximum of four years (eight semesters). Recipients who first enrolled
at Michigan Tech prior to fall 2023 can view their award level here.
All new incoming first-year and transfer undergraduate students who are Michigan residents
and have indicated on their admissions application that they are the child or grandchild
of a Michigan Tech graduate are automatically considered for these awards. Awards
are granted after confirmation that the identified parent or grandparent has been
previously awarded one of the following degrees by Michigan Tech:
- Associate degree
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree
- PhD
