Michigan Tech alumni, Tina and Gary Schmiedel both believe their decisions to study engineering and attend Michigan Tech were transformative
to their careers and life opportunities. They have had the chance to travel the world,
enjoy career success, raise a family, mentor employees, and make impactful business
decisions. Tina (Taylor) Schmiedel attended Gladwin High School and earned a Chemical Engineering
degree from Michigan Tech in 1984. Gary Schmiedel grew up in Oshkosh, WI and earned
a Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech in 1983. They would like to help make the decision to attend Michigan Tech and study engineering easier for select students from their hometowns.
