Honor Academy
In 1995, the then School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science alumni and faculty established the Honor Academy to recognize graduates who distinguish themselves in their professions. In addition, a select few who are not Michigan Tech graduates have been inducted into the Academy for demonstrating outstanding interest and commitment to our programs.

Outstanding Alumni
Each year, the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science presents an Outstanding Alumni Award at the College's alumni gathering during Michigan Tech Alumni Reunion. Recipients are graduates who have distinguished themselves in the profession of forestry, environmental science, wildlife ecology and management, or biotechnology.
Outstanding Young Alumni
Established in 2007, the Outstanding Young Alumni Award recognizes graduates who have distinguished themselves early in their careers, in their communities, and in their service to the College and University.
Presidential Council of Alumnae
The members of the Michigan Tech Presidential Council of Alumnae (PCA) are recognized for achievements in areas including educational excellence, professional accomplishments, past student service, current community service, and University support.
The council assists the University president by identifying activities and programs that benefit Michigan Tech students, working with the Department of Educational Opportunity, advancement, and academic departments to implement their ideas. It advises him on overall campus climate and offers suggestions to improve the social, educational, and cultural environment, particularly for women.
Women of Promise
The Women of Promise program began in 1999, the result of a recommendation from the Presidential Council of Alumnae (PCA). Women of Promise recognizes current female Michigan Tech students from each academic department who go above and beyond what is expected of them in terms of being well-rounded. It honors students who have demonstrated academic achievement, campus and community leadership, good citizenship, creativity, and other characteristics of high-achieving individuals. Women of Promise exemplify the early criteria considered in selecting future PCA inductees.
Alumni Association Awards
Michigan Tech's annual Alumni Awards are presented to graduates who have made significant contributions in their careers, and to the success of the University.
