Biography

John Velat serves as the Manager of Risk Management & Compliance for the Office of General Counsel at Michigan Tech. Previously, Dr. Velat was Co- or Principal Investigator for over $8 million in externally funded research in the Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering Department. He also serves as the Michigan Tech EMS Operations Director and Education Director for Michigan Tech's EMT education program as a licensed EMT Instructor/Coordinator.
