Biography

Rick Berkey serves as Director for Global Campus and Continuing Education at Michigan Technological University. In this role, Berkey is responsible for the operations of the Global Campus, including staff supervision, financial management, and degree enrollment programs. He collaborates with deans, department chairs, faculty, and corporate partners to develop and maintain high-quality online degree and non-credit educational programs.

Berkey’s career includes 30 years of complementary experience in industry and higher education. He has worked in the automotive, commercial vehicle, and defense sectors for Honeywell International, Dana Corporation, and GS Engineering.

At Michigan Tech, Berkey previously served as Professor of Practice and Director of the Enterprise Program. He holds certifications as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Facilitator.
