Michigan Tech students, faculty, and staff have a new way to access all on-line services via a customizable dashboard. Ellucian Experience is an inclusive interface with a mobile-accessible, user-friendly design that allows you to customize a central dashboard and access your information and campus services with a single sign-on. The following Human Resources services are now available via Experience:
- View history of employee earnings and deductions.
- Update personal information.
- Review and update tax information.
- Designate bank accounts for the direct-deposit payroll allocations.
- View your leave balance information.
Information on how to access Human Resources related items is below.
Benefits Information
Please note, Employees will utilize Employee Navigator for the majority of changes to their Benefits.
To view or update your current beneficiaries or dependents, please log-in to your account with Employee Navigator.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Health Benefits".
- Find the heading "Health Savings Account" and click on Update below the information.
- Status should be Active.
- DO NOT change the Effective Date of Change.
- Enter the Biweekly Amount you want deducted from your paycheck.
- Verify the Annual Goal amount.
- Click the Submit Changes button to save.
- You can view your changes using the History option at step 4 instead of Update.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Health Benefits".
- Find the heading "Health Savings Account" and click on Update below the information.
- Change status to Inactive.
- Change the Effective Date of Change to the last date of the prior bi-weekly pay period, which will always be a Saturday.
- Change the Semimonthly Amount to 0.00.
- Don't change the Annual Goal.
- Click the Submit Changes button to save.
- You can view your changes using the History option at step 4 instead of Update.
This option will delete all changes you made to your HSA contributions and restore the original settings. It will only appear if you had submitted a change and it has not yet been processed through Payroll Services.
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Health Benefits".
- Find the heading "Health Savings Account" and click on Update below the information.
- Check the Delete This Change box beneath the Annual Goal.
- Click the Submit Changes button to save.
- You can view your changes using the History option at step 4 instead of Update.
To view your current Benefit selections, please log-in to your account with Employee Navigator.
Deduction History:
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- Select the "Pay Information" drop down, then click on "Deductions History."
- Choose the desired date range at the top.
- To view deduction amounts for a particular deduction, select the down arrow next to that deduction for a monthly breakdown.
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- Your current available leave balances will show at the top of your dashboard.
- To view more, click on "Full Leave Balance Information."
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Billing & Payments" card, select the "Payments Page - Student Bill/Confirm Enrollment."
Payroll Information
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- From your dashboard, click on the "Taxes" drop down.
- Select "W-2 Wage and Tax Statement."
- Choose the tax year from the drop down, then select "Display."
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- From your dashboard, click on the "Taxes" drop down.
- Select "W-4 Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate."
- To update your withholding, click on "Update", located towards the bottom of the page.
- Once you have made the necessary updates on the next screen, click on "Certify Changes."
- Select "Employees" from the top navigation bar.
- Select the menu item called "Benefits and Deductions".
- Select "Miscellaneous".
- Find the "State Tax" deduction record. (example: "State of Michigan Income Tax")
- Select "Update" below the heading.
- Enter the new information and click the "Submit Changes" button.
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- Select the "Pay Information" drop down.
- Click on "All Pay Stubs."
- To view a pay stub, click on the date of the payment.
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Enable Direct Deposit Updates."
- For security reasons, you will need to enter your current routing and account information prior to being able to enter your new information.
- Click on the Banner 9 Self Service link.
- Select "Direct Deposit."
- Under "Proposed Pay Distribution", you can now view your current information, delete accounts, or select "Add New."
- When you are finished, select "Save Changes" near the bottom of the screen.
Earnings History:
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- Select the "Earnings" drop down. From here you can see your year to date earnings.
- You can also view "Earnings By Date Range" or "Earnings By Position" (for employees with more than 1 position).
Deductions History:
- Navigate to Experience.
- Under the "Human Resources" card, select "Employee Self Service Dashboard."
- Select the "Pay Information" drop down, then click on "Deductions History."
- Choose the desired date range at the top.
- To view deduction amounts for a particular deduction, select the down arrow next to that deduction for a monthly breakdown.
