Enrollment for the Spring Semester plan opens December 11, 2024
Michigan Tech requires all international students, graduate students and student athletes to carry comprehensive health insurance. Michigan Tech partners with UnitedHealthcare to offer a comprehensive health insurance plan.
Undergraduate domestic (U.S. citizen) students and off-campus students are not mandated to have comprehensive health insurance, but are welcome to utilize the comprehensive health plan offered through UnitedHealthcare.
The Student Insurance Office, housed in Benefit Services of Human Resources, facilitates the Michigan Tech student health insurance plan and waivers for all students.
Information regarding the student insurance plan can be found by visiting the UnitedHealthcare Student Resources website.
