Physical education at Michigan Tech is housed within The Department of Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology and provides a comprehensive package of wellness and fitness concepts for students. This includes participation in a variety of intramural activities, physical activity classes, as well as classes designed for raising the participant's level of consciousness on their own physical fitness/health-related issues. Students play flag football, beginning golf, aikido, disc golf, and floor hockey - to name a few.
In an effort to remain responsive to student needs in a changing society, Physical Education Co-Curricular classes provide a basis for assisting students in the development of positive attitudes toward lifelong activity and personal fitness.
