Independent Researchers

Archives staff are available for research support services, not research itself. For email and phone inquiries, staff can assist with identifying resources and finding aids that are most likely to contain relevant records. If you are unable to conduct your research in person, the Archives maintains a list of unaffiliated researchers that you can contact for research on your behalf. Any arrangements must be made directly with the independent researcher and will generally involve a fee. This list is maintained as a service to the public, and these researchers are not employed as such by the Michigan Tech Archives.
