Biography
Laura Connolly joined Michigan Tech's College of Business in 2018. She is an applied microeconomist with research interests in labor and demographic economics and public policy. Her current research focuses on understanding labor market outcomes across different populations, particularly gender differences, and the interaction between public policy and labor dynamics. Dr. Connolly has also contributed to several externally funded economic impact studies focused on Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Through her experience teaching economic decision analysis, she developed a passion for helping students develop their financial and economic literacy skills to understand the importance of personal finance.
