David E. Gaylord

Dave Gaylord founded Progressive Heat Treating in 1976 and served as its President and Treasurer until his retirement in 1999. Progressive was a metal heat treating business that provides Austemper continuous furnace heat treatment for a range of automotive, furniture and stamping industry customers. Concurrent with his retirement, Progressive was fully acquired by Bodycote International PLC. Prior to Progressive, Mr. Gaylord held the position of Vice President at State Heat Treating Inc. (Wyoming, MI), and Head Metallurgical Engineer for Northwood Heat Treating Company in Cadillac, MI.

Mr. Gaylord was inducted into the Academy of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Michigan Tech in 2000.
