Support Our Future

Alumni and Friends Department Support Fund

The department is aiming to launch into the future with the help of generous donations. These gifts are unrestricted, which means they provide the department with flexibility to support current priorities and respond to emerging opportunities that other funds do not cover. Every donation, regardless of the amount, is significant and greatly appreciated.

Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Lab Development Fund

Make an investment in the next generation of innovators by supporting the development of laboratory facilities for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering—labs that may allow our students to specialize in electric propulsion, aerodynamics, jet propulsion, rocket propulsion, and hands-on engineering practice. Your contribution directly fuels groundbreaking research and transforms academic potential into real-world engineering solutions, building a legacy of excellence and technological leadership for what tomorrow needs.

Student Scholarships Fund

Your contribution to the department’s Scholarships Fund empowers promising undergraduate and graduate students, turning the dream of a college education into a tangible reality.

Faculty Development Fund

At Michigan Tech, we compete for the same talented faculty along with all the top universities in the nation. Your gift will provide state-of-the-art equipment and additional support to new faculty—enabling them to become leaders in their field, attract the best graduate students, and inspire our undergraduate students. By supporting the education of our next generation of engineers, your contribution is certain to help change many lives for the better.

William “Bill” Predebon Legacy Fund

This fund honors Dr. Predebon’s outstanding contributions to the MAE department. With a quarter century as department chair and nearly a half century of dedicated service until his retirement in July 2022, Bill’s impact as a scholar, teacher, and leader is unparalleled. Established in the spirit of his extraordinary achievements, the fund aims to support and advance our ongoing initiatives and will perpetuate Bill’s legacy by sustaining the department’s impactful work.
