    Lift Off!

Student interest and industry demand propel Michigan Tech into a new era of aerospace engineering. Launching a new undergraduate aerospace engineering degree at Michigan Tech—and changing the name of the University's largest academic department—is about more than just putting a new name on students' diplomas and the department's door. It's about matching the desire of incoming students who want to earn specialized aerospace degrees, and the demand of a burgeoning industry in search of engineers for the next level of discovery and exploration in space.
