Gerald Haycock
- BS Mechanical Engineering 1968
Jerry Haycock earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1968 and started as a Development Engineer for the Detroit Diesel Division of General Motors. In 1971 he joined Ford Motor Company as an Emission Development Engineer and has held various supervisory and management positions in the powertrain area. In 1995 he was appointed the Director of Core/Advanced Powertrain Engineering in the Advanced Vehicle Technology Department of Ford.
Haycock is Ford's Corporate Relationship Sponsor for Michigan Tech and has served on the Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics Industrial Advisory Committee and is a current member of the College of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board. He is also a Michigan Tech Fund Trustee, a member of SAE and the Engineering Society of Detroit, and chairs the Ford Michigan Tech Alumni Coordinating Team. He and his wife, Ann (Fohey)'68, are both members of the Presidents Club.
