Larry Evers
- Professor Emeritus, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
- PhD, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Biography
In recent years, Evers has concentrated on the design of fuel injectors which produce enhanced atomization and spray patterns for port-fuel-injectioned spark-ignited engines. These fuel injectors have been tested in the laboratory and in engines. He developed a film thickness sensor, which has been used to measure the fuel film thickness in the inlet port of a fuel-injected engine. The film thickness sensor is being used to measure the film of oil in journal bearings.
