Biography
Dr. Gan joined Michigan Tech in Fall 2025 after completing his PhD at Penn State in May 2025. Dr. Gan earned his Master of Science degree from Penn State in 2021 and his Bachelor of Engineering from Carleton University in 2019. He is currently recruiting graduate students to research sound perception (psychoacoustics) of multirotor electric aircraft such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and manned electrical vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, and how to control these noise emissions by modifying the flight controller.
