Husky Enterprise Teams Up with US Coast Guard
Look who flew into Houghton — pilots, mechanics, and rescue swimmer crews from the Coast Guard helicopters Jayhawk (Traverse City) and Dolphin (Detroit). The SENSE Enterprise team at Michigan Tech is working with them to create a lighter, easily deployable and more effective mass rescue raft.
Michigan Tech's Keweenaw Rocket Range at IREC 2019
In June of 2019, ten members of Michigan Tech's Keweenaw Rocket Range traveled over 1700 miles to compete in IREC (Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Challenge) at Spaceport America in New Mexico. The rookie team successfully managed to launch, land and recover their rocket but more importantly they made new friends along the way.
