Our research areas represent the broad range of expertise carried by our team of mathematicians, ecologists, modelers, physicists, engineers, analysts, and programmers. Our research areas range from natural to human made environments, aquatic to terrestrial, and tropical to boreal. We hike the Arctic tundra to record high-quality field data, coordinate swarms of robots to explore underground tunnels, inspect transportation infrastructure for defects, and design new sensors and instruments when off-the-shelf isn’t an option. Then we share our work with the broader community to help us all to better understand our planet and its most pressing problems. Our work is sponsored by state, federal, industry, international, and NGA sponsors.
