The second Career Fair of the academic year will bring more than 150 employers to Michigan Technological University’s Student Development Complex from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Michigan Tech’s 2025 Spring Career Fair brings recruiters from local, national and international employers across multiple industry sectors together with thousands of Huskies looking for full-time, part-time, co-op and internship roles.

The University hosts two Career Fairs annually. Each event is preceded by Career Fest, a series of casual networking and recruiting events where students can meet prospective employers to apply for jobs, ask questions, form relationships and engage in real conversations about their futures. Career Fest also includes lightning resume review events where recruiters review and critique students’ resumes.

“Our campus career ecosystem at Michigan Tech is rich and vibrant,” said Cody Kangas, executive director of Career Services. “Accelerating the career mobility of our students is something we all take pride in, and the numbers continue to show how in demand our talented Huskies are by industry across the country.”

Prior to Career Fest and Career Fair, students are encouraged to update their profiles on LinkedIn and Handshake, where most employers and recruiters post available positions. Tech’s Career Services office offers advising and other resources throughout the academic year to help students prepare for interviews and polish their resumes.

“Michigan Tech is lucky to have alumni who enjoy coming back to campus to help the next generation of students prepare for jobs,” said Jim Desrochers, the University’s director of employer relations. “They are always willing to help enhance our events through sharing their experiences, helping with resume reviews and talking students through the job search process.”
