Michigan Tech to Host 2nd Annual Upper Peninsula Medical Conference

The 2023 Upper Peninsula Medical Conference (UPMedCon) brings together medical practitioners, researchers and students for a weekend of learning about health issues impacting rural communities.

Hosted by Michigan Technological University’s Health Research Institute, UPMedCon takes place Oct. 27-28 at the Memorial Union Building on campus in Houghton, Michigan. Health practitioners from around the Upper Peninsula and northern Great Lakes region are invited to attend.

The conference will include topics concerning rural health and health care, including behavioral health, maternal care, pediatric cardiology, diet and wound care. Seminar topics and session objectives are listed on the Upper Peninsula Medical Conference website.
