Excellence and Integrity in Research
We support the development and management of innovative, world-class research and technologies guided by the principles of ethical conduct and safety.
The Associate Vice President for Research Development provides strategic leadership while focusing on coordinating and promoting research excellence and integrity. This includes the facilitation of developmental opportunities and the oversight of centers, institutes, and shared facilities.
The Associate Vice President for Research Development Department assists with research proposal and team development, funding searches, and holds networking and research development workshops as well as helps identify industry and federal research sponsors. We provide research oversight via the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), ensure the safety of research laboratory operations, and manage University Chemical Stores (UCS).

While I am currently Associate Vice President for Research Development, I also have a joint faculty appointment with the Department of Social Sciences and the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science. I have two main research foci: indigeneity and environmental stewardship and socio-technological system transitions toward climate change mitigation and adaptation.
