A few important points regarding the research team roles:

  • These are roles defined in Cayuse for Michigan Tech’s internal business purposes and may not match the person's role on the sponsor's proposal documents.
  • All roles (Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator(s), and Investigator(s)) are required to certify the proposal and are automatically added to the proposal approval routing chain.
  • “Investigator” is a new role for tracking by Michigan Tech; in the legacy database (TechTracS) only the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator(s) were tracked.
