Michigan Technological University Standing Committees work with the Office of the President and/or one or more of the Offices of the Vice Presidents or equivalent President's Council member. Standing committees and councils serve the critical role to continuously enhance the institution’s work in support of Michigan Tech's Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan.
University-wide standing committees refer to those committees and councils that are permanent, as established by the appropriate President's Council officer/vice president, and typically work to provide oversight or recommendations, to serve in an advisory capacity, or to act as a collaborative working group specializing in particular subject matter that is in support of Michigan Tech's Strategic Plan.
Individuals are typically assigned to committees by appointment, through invitation, or by virtue of their role or position at Michigan Tech.
If you would like to update your committee's information or have your standing committee included in this website, please contact the Assistant to the General Counsel at hereid@mtu.edu.
